Managing multiple organisations

One Nightbooks login can belong to any number of organisations — your own businesses, or clients who invited you. Each organisation is fully separate: its own books, team, GST settings, bank feeds and billing.

Switching and adding

• Switch from the organisation menu in the top bar; every page then shows that organisation’s data.

• Create additional organisations from the dashboard — your plan sets the limit, and Multi-Pro is designed for several.

• Your role can differ per organisation: owner of your own business, admin for a client, viewer somewhere else.

What separation means in practice

• The AI accountant only sees the organisation you are currently in.

• Bank feeds connect per organisation — the same real-world bank account should feed only one organisation’s books.

• GST registration, filing frequency and basis are all per organisation, as IRD registers them.

Accountants and bookkeepers: have each client invite you to their organisation rather than sharing logins — you keep one login, they keep control, and the audit trail shows who did what.
